Around Vallarta

Nuevo Vallarta is a newer part of the greater Vallarta region, set ten or fifteen minutes  north of the Airport.  The diversity of available activities in the area is unparalleled!

Easy access to everything from our facility!

The beach and pool are just outside your door.  Great Mexican restaurants are as close as a five minute walk. Five minutes in a taxi gets you to oodles of restaurants.  There is a taxi stand and a bus stop a few hundred feet from our property, so access is easy.  If you want to use our kitchen to do your own cooking, you'll find that grocery shopping is easy and located close by.  All of the other activities below all initiate from locations less than 1/2 hour away.  Some, such as the dolphin adventure, are just five minutes!

Golf to your heart's content!

Golf at any of many local courses.  There are nine great courses nearby.

El Tigre Golf, Flamingos Golf, Vista Vallarta Golf are among them.

A complete listing of local golf courses can be found here.  Many of the courses have discounts for purchasing your tee time online, so check them out and plan ahead.

Dolphins and Sea Lions!

Swim with the dolphins or the sea lions at the renowned Vallarta Adventures.  Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience!  Their website often offers discounts for online bookings.  We've done this and think that everyone should try it!

Boat tours and just about every other kind of activity you can imagine!

Excursions of your choice, hundreds to choose from - by land, by air or by sea.  The Vallarta area offers activities such as horseback riding in the jungle, scuba diving and snorkeling, fishing expeditions, parasailing, ATV excursions, jungle canopy experiences, jungle safaris, cultural walking tours, SPLASH water park for the kids (and the kid in you!), Sierra Madre rainforest tours, and even the tequila tour!  Your fun can be by boat, small plane, bicycle, ATV, horseback, bus, or even on foot.  You choose from the amazingly diverse selection.  The Useful Links page offers many other details for what you can do while you're staying with us.

Come ready to eat!

The Vallarta area is blessed with a great diversity of incredible restaurants.  Check out  our  Useful Links page for a partial listing.  We'll always be happy to tell you about some of our favorites as well.

Turtles!

Thousands of Olive Ridley turtles come to Puerto Vallarta every year between July and November to lay their eggs.  Vallarta Adventures has what they claim to be the largest turtle conservation camp on the bay - and they'll take you and a small group to watch for females laying eggs and babies in the process of hatching and returning to the bay.  Find more information about turtle camp on the Useful Links page.
